Mr. Blue Sky Vest is a sleeveless vest, a versatile and stylish addition to your wardrobe, suitable for various seasons and occasions, depending on how you style it.

It is knitted from the top down without seams, so the length can be adjusted to taste if needed. You start with the back, shaping the shoulders, and then continue knitting flat until the armhole is shaped. Then, the front is knitted flat, shaping the neckline and the armhole. After joining the front and back, the body is knitted in the round. Finally, the neckline and sleeve finishes are completed.

About this Pattern

Sizes: (1, 2, 3) [4, 5, 6] {7, 8, 9}.

Finished Garment Measurements: (90, 100, 110) [120, 130, 140] {150, 160, 170} cm/(36, 40, 44) [48, 52, 56] {60, 64, 68}” bust circumference approx.

Ease: between 10 cm/4” and 18 cm/7.25” of positive ease.

To choose your size, you should add the desired ease to your actual bust measurement and then look in the chart for the size that comes closest. For example: if your bust measures 86 cm/34.5”, you should knit size 2, which has a final measurement of 100 cm/40” (with 14 cm/5.5” of positive ease).

Gauge: 20 stitches x 28 rows (10 cm/4”) using the main needles in stockinette stitch and blocked.

Suggested Needles: Main circular needles size 4.5 mm/US 7, or whatever size you need to achieve the required gauge. Circular needles size 4 mm/US 6 (or one size smaller than the main needles) for knitting the ribbing. The length of the needle cable may vary as needed.
