Tamar scarf is worked flat, beginning at the center and growing outward. Its length is adjustable, so you can knit it as long as you like. It’s an ideal project for using up yarn scraps: with just a small amount of yarn, you can create a scarf that wraps once around the neck, or make it longer to use up all the yarn you have available.

Measurements: Approx. 100 cm / 40" from tip to tip.

Gauge: 18 sts = 10 cm [4"] in garter stitch worked flat with main needles, after blocking.

Gauge note: Making a gauge swatch is not essential for this project; however, any variation will affect both the final size and the total yardage used.

Suggested Needles: 4 mm / 80 cm circular needles [US 6 / 32"]

Yarn used for sample: Rowan Alpaca Classic, fingering weight (120 m / 25 g; 131 yd / 0.88 oz; 57% alpaca, 47% cotton), colorway 124 Pink Lips.

Approximate Yardage: from 120 m / 131 yd, or 2 ball(s) of Rowan Alpaca Classic.

Other Notions: tapestry needle, blocking tools, and scissors.
