Discover the charming children's version of our popular design, the Ephesus Mini, inspired by the elegance and simplicity of the Ephesus Tee Ephesus Tee for adults. This pattern provides you step-by-step instructions to create an adorable sweater for the little ones of the house.
The pattern is available in 6 children's sizes, ranging from 2 to 12 years old. It is advisable to select the size based on the chest and upperarm’s circumference measurements to best fit each child’s unique growth rate. The lengths of the sleeves, body and yoke depth can be modified to your personal preference.
Sizes: (2, 4, 6) (8, 10, 12) which approximately corresponds to (2 yo, 4 yo, 6 yo) (8 yo, 10 yo, 12 yo).
Finished circumference around the bust: (61, 65, 69) (72, 76, 80) cm / (24.5, 26, 27.5) (28.75, 30.5, 32) ” approx.
Positive ease: approx. 5-10 cm / 2 -4 ”.
To choose the best size, use a garment that currently fits the child well as a reference. Measure its chest circumference and compare it to the finished chest circumference provided in the pattern. Select the size whose finished measurement is closest to your reference garment.Gauge: 21 stitches x 30 rounds = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 "] using the main needles in stockinette stitch, worked in the round, after blocking.
Suggested needle sizes
Main fabric: 4 mm / 80 cm [US 6 / 32"] circular needles or the size needed to obtain the correct gauge.
Ribbing: 3.5 mm / 80 cm [US 4 / 32"] circular needles or 0.5 mm smaller than the main needles.
Sleeves: 4 mm and 3.5 mm double-pointed needles or your preferred needles for small circumferences (such as short circular needles or long ones for Magic Loop).
